Bio - Short version
Classically trained percussionist turned free improviser. I make sound with my whole body - electroacoustic, raw and refined, classical discipline meeting punk instinct. I perform, I compose for the stage, and I teach others to find their own voice. Based in Basel, still walking into the unknown.
Bio - Long version
I started on a classical stage and have spent my life wanting to break it open.
I trained as a percussionist at the Conservatorio Guido Cantelli in Novara, and for over a decade I played with symphonic and wind orchestras and taught percussion in Italian public schools - until the day I resigned from a permanent post and almost everyone around me said I was crazy.
Maybe they were right. I moved to Basel, became a student again, and earned a Master in Free Improvisation: learning to make music with no score and no safety net, just the body and whatever it finds. Out of that I built an electroacoustic setup that turns physical movement into sound - somewhere between classical discipline and punk instinct, raw and refined at the same time.
Everything I do now lives in that collision. I improvise. I compose for stage, theatre and dance. I teach others to find their own voice, without filters. And in between, like everyone, I've taken myself apart and put myself back together more than once - which is, I think, exactly where the music comes from.
